10. Wheel of Fortune

"There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be." - The Sorting Hat

The Wheel of Fortune symbolizes the interwoven fate and destiny of a person's life. Each person has his own path in life, but they are also all part of the larger cycles of life and the world. On the other hand, this card may also represent unexpected twists of fate, like the spinning wheel that may stop at any point.

The Sorting Ceremony is a heavily important part of the introduction of new pupils to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The students are sorted into appropriate houses depending on their inner personality, of which they themselves may not even be aware. While its decisions may not be necessarily life-changing, the Sorting Hat's judgement will determine the kind of people a student will eat, sleep, learn, and grow up with for his next seven years - a significant influence on anyone's personality and character.
